We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Vale of Glamorgan to assist with the appointment of a Maintenance Officer, on a 3 -month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £16.60 - £21.17 per Hour Responsibilities: Ensuring all maintenance work meets acceptable industry standards and complies with relevant legislation. Implementing the principles of the Councils Equal Opportunity and Environment Policies. Adhering to Health and Safety legislation, policies, and procedures, taking reasonable care for personal and others' safety. Reporting any safeguarding concerns without delay to the appropriate officer. Performing other duties commensurate with the grade as reasonably required by the Chief Officer. Essentials: Proven experience in general building maintenance or a formally recognized trade such as Bricklayer, Carpenter, Glazier, Painter, Plasterer, Asbestos Stripper, Plumber, or Roofer. A strong understanding and practical application of Health and Safety legislation, risk assessments, and safe systems of work. A valid driving license for daily vehicle and plant checks.
