We have recently launched a new industry leading data and software solution so we are looking for experienced account managers to manage, grow existing commercial relationships and generate new customers. The role of Business Development Manager is critical to the overall success of Defaqto by supporting clients with the marketing of their products via use of our Star ratings and the design, creation, optimization and compliance via industry leading software. You will be responsible for both managing and growing existing commercial relationships and generating new customers for Defaqto in the General Insurance and Banking space. Internally, your job title will be Account Manager. All new business that you bring on, you'll retain to account manage. What You'll Do Own a revenue target, portfolio of clients and potential clients Manage a portfolio of clients with a view to growing income and ensure they are maximising the value from our products and seek out ways of extending their investment in our solutions Create and generate clients for Defaqto Demonstrate a solution selling approach to understanding needs, identify challenges and opportunities Run sales meetings with individuals and present to larger groups, in person and via video meetings including demonstrating Defaqto software Position Defaqto' s expertise and insight across the various functions within the client organisation Feedback ideas and market intelligence into the business What You'll Need To Succeed A track record of commercial success in a Account Manager, sales role or similar Experience of selling Software as a Service, and Subscription based sales in to large commercial organisations, preferably financial services Have strong commercial skills with a focus on finding a suitable solution for the client based on fact-finding Have an understanding of General Insurance and/or Banking product distribution and the distribution of financial products in the UK Ability to build strong, multiple contact, commercial relationships Track record of deepening relationships within large accounts Demonstrate an ability to present a solution in a meaningful way Experience of working with MEDDIC, Miller Hyman or similar sales methodologies. Approach to work Credible, personable and customer focused Commercial and deal orientated Self-starting and target focused Determined and resilient Working Location Our main office is in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire but we also have a small London base. While your role will largely be remote, you will need to be able to travel to meet with clients and, from time to time, be able to stay overnight. You will meet up with the wider team around once a month in the Haddenham office. Our preference is for you to be based within a few of hours commute of our Haddenham office although this is not essential. Depending on the level of your experience, it may be beneficial to spend a little more time in the office to learn about our business. You will need a valid UK driving license and access to a car. Our clients are geographically dispersed so reliance on public transport is sadly not achievable.
