We are looking for a Facilities Manager to join our team in Dublin 14. The successful candidate will oversee daily site operations, manage teams and contractors, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and maintain high levels of service delivery and client satisfaction.
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the continued operation and performance of all EPA facilities, including buildings, plant, equipment, hard services, and soft services.
* Manage routine preventative maintenance programmes, testing schedules, and inspections to ensure facilities operate safely and efficiently.
* Maintain and update operational procedures, preventative maintenance plans, business continuity plans, and emergency response plans for buildings and utilities.
* Operate and monitor the Building Management System (BMS) and associated systems.
* Ensure buildings meet all health and safety requirements and comply with relevant legislation and statutory obligations.
* Support the local Safety Management Team in building-related matters.
* Maintain accurate records to support compliance and business continuity.
* Prepare documentation for tender processes and support the procurement of goods and services.
* Compare costs and support value-for-money decision making.
* Project manage, coordinate, and supervise third‑party contractors, ensuring works are completed to agreed standards and deficiencies are addressed.
* Support local Facilities Coordinators in managing essential services including reception, mailroom, cleaning, catering, waste management, and recycling.
* Assist in planning the effective allocation and utilisation of space, resources, and workplace reorganisation where required.
* Attend Building Management Committee meetings and manage follow‑up actions.
* Support collaboration across all EPA locations in the development of facilities services and centralised procurement initiatives.
* Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and service providers.
* Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and manage outcomes effectively.
* Attend EPA premises Monday to Friday during office opening hours, and at other times as agreed, to ensure service delivery and operational continuity.
Experience & Qualifications
* Proven experience in Facilities Management within a multi‑site or complex environment.
* Strong knowledge of hard services, building systems, and statutory compliance requirements.
* Experience managing planned preventative maintenance programmes.
* Experience coordinating contractors and managing service delivery performance.
* Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance frameworks.
* Experience working with BMS and building systems.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Technical trade background or engineering qualification.
* Experience in public sector or regulated environments.
