A Production Manager is required for a growing family‑run fabrication company based in Coventry, specializing in prototype and low‑volume fabrication and sheet metal products for a wide range of industries.
As a Production Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the manufacturing plant, along with the Management and Directors. You will also be responsible for Health and Safety, Quality Management, visiting customer and supplier sites for various projects, ensuring maximum and efficient productivity.
Production Manager - Duties
* Implementation of manufacturing and engineering techniques such as Lean to deliver measurable results
* Setting productivity goals and ensuring KPIs are maintained
* Ensuring all capacity planning documentation is updated
* Ensuring products meet all required documented specifications
* On‑time delivery of products to all customers, both internal and external
* Follow creation and help maintain procedures and specifications
* Keeping the work areas clean and organized and taking care of all equipment and facilities and organizing TPM and 6S requirements
* Ensuring the shift complies with all company standards when working (Health and Safety, hygiene, etc.) and following all safety rules focusing on team welfare and safety
* Focusing on improving processes and culture
* Assisting in the QMS to meet the company's requirements
* Managing and mentoring weld coordinators as well as carrying out the role yourself
Production Manager - Applicants Must Have
* Strong background within fabrication and sheet metal manufacturing, with a proven track record of success within production management
* Knowledge of CAD or similar design package
* Excellent leadership skills
* Full, clean driving license essential
* Reliable and strong working ethics

Working Hours would be 7:15 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Thursday & 7:15 am – 12:15 pm Friday, but must be able to show flexibility during peak production periods.
Salary £50,000 – £54,000 per annum plus bonuses.
