JOB TITLE:Events Manager
LOCATION: The post holder will be based at Wellington House but will be required to visit various sites within the Hull and East Yorkshire.
SALARY: £28,000 per annum with potential to increase to £30,000 after the first year.
HOURS:37 per week. The post holder will be required to work flexibly, and this will include working occasional evenings and weekends.

Role Responsibilities
1. The Events Manager will lead the development and delivery of Hull and East Yorkshire Mind’s events programme - from long-standing community favourites to brand-new, high-profile flagship events. This is a role for a creative, and dynamic professional who can make our events the ones people talk about, look forward to, and prioritise in their diaries.
2. You will be responsible for creating events that excite businesses, inspire community members, and strengthen our brand as a trusted and forward-thinking charity. Through innovative event design, strong relationship-building, and a focus on income generation, you will grow both the scale and the impact of our events portfolio.
3. 1.Design and deliver flagship and high-profile events that set Hull and East Yorkshire Mind apart, inspiring excitement and anticipation among businesses, sponsors and the wider community.
4. 2.Develop and grow an annual events calendar that balances high-impact flagship events with sustainable, well-run community favourites - ensuring variety, quality, and clear return on investment.
5. 3.Take bold, creative approaches to event concepts, branding, and delivery - pushing boundaries to make each event memorable, unique, and talked about long after it ends.
6. 4.Proactively build relationships with local businesses, community leaders, influencers, and key stakeholders to secure sponsorship, partnerships, and advocacy for events.
7. 5.Act as an ambassador for the charity, generating buzz and building anticipation through networking, public speaking, and personal engagement with supporters.
8. 6.Work collaboratively with the creative team to create multi-channel promotional campaigns that position events as “must-attend” experiences and strengthen the charity’s brand.
9. 7.Monitor and manage budgets, tracking income and expenditure for each event.
10. 8.Lead event-day delivery with presence and confidence - ensuring participants, sponsors, and attendees feel valued, inspired, and eager to return.
11. 9.Use insights and supporter data to target audiences, personalise communications, and build long-term engagement from event participants.
12. 10.Evaluate events and share learning to improve future activity.
13. 11.Stay aware of fundraising and event trends, bringing fresh ideas to grow our events programme.
14. 12.Work cross-functionally with marketing and volunteering teams to ensure flagship events reflect the charity’s mission and strengthen community impact.
