Our client, a leading organisation within the utilities and telecommunications sector, is seeking a dedicated SHEQ Advisor to join their growing Communications division. This permanent role focuses on ensuring compliance, driving best practices, and fostering a strong SHEQ culture across operational sites in London and the Home Counties.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProviding professional SHEQ guidance to site teams, contractors, and clients\nEnsuring compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards\nConducting regular audits and inspections to assess SHEQ performance\nSupporting the investigation of accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventative actions\nPromoting proactive safety reporting, including near misses, hazards, and observations\nEnsuring project documentation (CPPs, QMPs, Risk Registers, Method Statements) is up to date\nMonitoring welfare facilities on sites to ensure they meet required standards\nChampioning SHEQ culture, setting an example with leadership and best practices\nAssisting in maintaining the Integrated Management System and supporting SHEQ digitalisation\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExperience in a SHEQ advisory role within utilities or engineering (preferably in communications/fibre)\nIOSH/NEBOSH Certified. \nWorking knowledge of NRSWA, HSG47, ISO 14001 & 45001\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nGood analytical and problem-solving abilities\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nOrganisational skills and strong attention to detail\nProficiency in Microsoft Office\n\nBenefits:\n\nPaying up to £55,000 per annum negotiable\nPension Contribution \nCompany vehicle / Car allowance £4k-£5k\n28 days of holiday (36 days in total) \nHealth cash-plan\nDiscount and cashback scheme\nDiscounted Gym Scheme\nLong Service Award\nRetail Discount Scheme\nEmployee Assistance Programme\nIf you are a motivated SHEQ professional looking to join a dynamic team within the utilities and telecommunications sector, we would love to hear from you.
