You'll work directly with individuals involved in the criminal justice system, supporting their rehabilitation journey through guidance, encouragement, and practical help.

As a support worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of participants in a community environment. Your duties will include conducting initial assessments, providing ongoing guidance and support throughout their sentence, and facilitating interventions through one-on-one and group activities. The goal is to create safe spaces where individuals can engage in positive activities, improve their health, and develop skills to overcome daily challenges.

Our successful candidate will ideally have experience in probation, social care, or the criminal justice sector. However, we value confidence and the ability to work with diverse backgrounds and circumstances, mentoring and coaching participants effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Meet individual and team performance targets in line with contractual requirements.
2. Collaborate with volunteer peer mentors and connect participants with resources related to housing, substance use, health, etc.
3. Contribute to a learning environment that promotes skill development and sharing best practices.
4. Manage cases effectively, ensuring safeguarding of adults and children, and report risks appropriately.
5. Ensure all contractual targets are met.


Qualifications and Skills:

* IAG Level 3 - desirable
* Experience managing a caseload - desirable
* Knowledge of electronic data management and target-driven environments
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to motivate and engage individuals

In return, we offer a salary of £24,650 - £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience), along with benefits including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a birthday day off, volunteer days, pension contributions, healthcare plans, salary reviews, referral schemes, and access to retail discounts and voluntary benefits.
