SENIOR CHEMICAL ENGINEER
We are seeking a SENIOR CHEMICAL ENGINEER to lead and support the initiation, design, implementation, and commissioning of Plant Modification Proposals (PMPs), enhancing and adapting existing plant operations. This pivotal role combines technical expertise with project leadership to deliver safe, efficient, and innovative process improvements.

Duties
* Lead PMPs from concept through to commissioning, ensuring hazard assessments and HAZOP studies are completed.
* Define scope and depth of hazard assessments, perform engineering calculations, develop testing programmes, and revise designs based on findings.
* Initiate and chair HAZOPs, maintaining comprehensive risk assessment records.
* Collaborate with Project Engineering to develop plant layouts, costings, and proposals for project approval.
* Provide expert chemical engineering input to Process Improvement Groups, project teams, and the Research Department.
* Advise on design, safety, materials, and processing techniques.
* Act as Project Leader on designated projects, overseeing design, budget, and performance.
* Organise design and commissioning work to meet production budget requirements.
Requirements
* Degree in Chemical Engineering (essential).
* Significant industrial experience in chemical manufacturing or related fields.
* Experience in development and optimisation of chemical processes.
* Hands-on plant commissioning and troubleshooting experience.
* Knowledge of DSEAR methodology and implementation.
* Experience with SIL and LOPA risk assessments.
* Relief system design and DIERS methodology expertise.
