* Salary Range: Band 7 - £48,788 - £56,747 per annum (pro rata)
* Allowances: Distant Island Allowance of £2,380 per annum (pro rata), Relocation Assistance of up to £8,000
* Development: Potential for development post: Paid @ Annex 21 until academic qualification complete
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to support our Primary Care/Urgent Unscheduled Care service across Shetland. The ANP will work flexibly within an established team, providing front-line care for general practice patients in various health centres.
The ANP will manage patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, utilizing patient history, clinical assessment, physical examination, and expert judgment to identify potential diagnoses. Responsibilities include initiating investigations, making referrals, prescribing, and evaluating treatments tailored to patient needs.
Qualifications
* Registration on Part 1 of the NMC Register
* Master’s degree/PgDip in Advanced Practice with Advanced Clinical Examination Skills and Extended Independent Prescribing qualification
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
A development post may be considered for the right candidate, with pay during training as per Annex 21 guidance from Agenda for Change T&Cs.
