We’re looking for a Management Accountant who combines strong technical expertise with leadership capability, analytical excellence, and an ownership mindset. This is a key role within our Finance function, responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial information. From statutory audit leadership to management reporting and continuous process improvement, you’ll play a critical part in shaping the financial foundations that support Bluefield’s success. What you'll be doing Management Reporting Lead the delivery of monthly and quarterly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, KPIs and dashboards. Produce high‑quality variance analysis, commentary and insight for senior leadership and Board reporting. Partner with FP&A to ensure alignment between actuals, budgets, forecasts and re‑forecasting cycles. Drive improvements in reporting tools and analytics to support faster, clearer and more robust decision-making Financial Accounting, Month End & Quarter End Close Own and lead the full monthly and quarterly close cycles, ensuring accurate and timely financial results. Prepare and review journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations. Maintain general ledger integrity and drive high standards of balance sheet governance. Continuously enhance close processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and control. Audit & Statutory Compliance Lead the annual statutory accounts preparation and coordinate the end‑to‑end external audit process. Act as the primary contact for external auditors, ensuring a smooth and well‑controlled audit experience. Ensure compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP and all regulatory standards. Support the preparation and review of tax workings, liaising with external tax advisors as required. Strengthen internal controls, financial policies and documentation. Compliance, Controls & Process Improvement Oversee adherence to internal controls, governance frameworks and process standards. Identify and implement opportunities to optimise processes, increase automation and enhance data integrity. Contribute to system improvements and accounting/reporting tool development. Support broader risk management and compliance activities. Business Partnering & Stakeholder Support Build strong relationships across functional teams to embed financial discipline and improve data quality. Provide technical accounting guidance in a clear, accessible way. Communicate financial information confidently to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders. Leadership Lead, support and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement. Oversee workload planning and ensure high‑quality delivery across core financial accounting activities. What you'll bring Fully qualified accountant Experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting and external audit coordination. Ability to lead and support a team, with a collaborative and empowering leadership style. Strong analytical capability and excellent Excel skills; confident working with data and building insights. Technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/UK GAAP) and comfort with tax processes. High integrity, attention to detail and a commitment to robust control. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to challenge and refine processes.
