As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure clients receive holistic, person-centric care based on the recovery model. You will also support providing high-quality clinical care using hospital services.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be:
* Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews, and developing a therapeutic milieu.
* Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
* Providing psychiatric perspectives to the multidisciplinary team regarding assessment, formulation, and treatment of patients.
* Contributing to management and clinical governance meetings and service strategy development.
* Participating in in-house training programmes and supervising other team members, especially junior medical staff.
* Maintaining CPD and re-validation requirements as per the Royal College of Psychiatrists or other statutory bodies.
* Being part of an on-call Responsible Clinician rota.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Be medically qualified, with MRC Psych or equivalent.
* Be innovative with the ability to initiate corporate decisions.
* Have a good understanding of current developments in psychiatry and mental health.
* Possess substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, and contemporary mental health issues.
* Have previous Consultant experience in a management role.
