Job Description:
We are seeking a Sales Manager for Wycombe Heights Golf Centre in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. This is a full-time role reporting to the General Manager / Head of Sales. The main responsibilities include:
1. Achieving monthly sales targets for functions, memberships, and golf business.
2. Leading, coaching, and developing the sales team to meet KPIs and results.
3. Maximising revenue through confident pricing and business acumen.
4. Training and providing ongoing development for the sales team.
5. Converting prospects into clients/members through inbound leads, networking, outreach, and marketing.
6. Championing all sales activities including prospecting, follow-ups, and appointments.
7. Ensuring understanding and execution of sales procedures.
8. Enhancing the club’s social media and community presence.
9. Collaborating with department heads for effective communication, especially regarding club functions and golf day business.
The venue, Wycombe Heights, features an 18-hole main course, a short course, a Trackman digital driving range, a refurbished pro-shop, café, and function/meeting spaces. The role involves hands-on sales activities, business development, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, demonstrated leadership, knowledge of sales processes, and a proven track record of results. An understanding of golf and/or selling functions and event space is essential. The role offers a competitive salary of £31,000 plus commission and benefits, with an OTE of approximately £37,500. Benefits include complimentary golf, use of the driving range, meals on duty, and a rewarding commission scheme. Some evening and weekend work is required, with a rota to ensure fair coverage.
