What you’ll do and where you’ll be expected to contribute is described in the sections below. This role is about delivering high-quality financial services, shaping strategic decisions, and driving performance across the Division.
What You’ll Do
* Lead the delivery of professional financial services across the Division
* Ensure advice is accurate, timely and tailored to client needs
* Build strong relationships to enhance financial understanding and performance
* Support knowledge sharing and professional development across teams
* Assist in shaping and delivering divisional strategies and business plans
* Lead improvement initiatives around WIP, UNCON and progress evaluations
* Attend project control meetings and support working capital management
* Stay current with professional standards and best practices
* Ensure outputs comply with relevant legislation and internal policies
* Undertake quality checks and verification activities
* Promote safety and wellbeing in all aspects of work
* Support the production and interpretation of monthly management accounts
* Monitor project profitability, utilisation and overheads
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
* Provide cost analysis and financial insights to project teams
* Provide training on project control systems and finance fundamentals
* Help staff understand and manage project financials, including revenue and profit recognition
* Support compliance with group directives such as insurances and registrations
Essential
* Part qualified (AAT) or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a finance business partner or similar role
* Strong Excel and financial software skills, ideally with ERP system experience
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with non-financial stakeholders
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Willingness to travel to other offices for meetings and workshops
Desirable
* Experience preparing financial data to support bids
* Ability to create and update dashboards
* Presence in the office 2–3 days per week
* Experience in annual budgeting and forecasting
