Proactive Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated Trade Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that our operations run smoothly. This role requires a blend of organisational abilities, time management, and customer service skills to effectively support our trade activities.
Duties
This is a varied position split between serving customers at the trade counter and supporting operations in the warehouse. Typical duties include:
* Assisting customers at the trade counter, providing product advice and processing orders.
* Preparing, picking, and packing orders for delivery or collection.
* Receiving, checking, and storing incoming stock.
* Maintaining a clean, organised warehouse and counter area.
* Supporting the sales team with enquiries and stock availability.
* Using computer systems to update orders and stock records.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in a trade counter, warehouse, or customer-facing role (desirable, but not essential).
* A good level of IT literacy for order processing and stock management.
* Strong communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
* Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative.
