What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will support the London-based OTC Derivative and Structured Product desks, covering Credit, Rates, and Equity.
You will develop a deep understanding of the products and system infrastructure to provide top-tier trade execution and exceptional service to RBC’s investment professionals and clients.
What will you do?
1. Support complex transactions for Credit, Rates, and Equity Derivatives, including Structured Products, and assist with hedging activities across various asset classes.
2. Serve as a central contact point, collaborating with Sales, Trading, Clients, and internal teams.
3. Validate trade bookings for accuracy in downstream processing.
4. Perform trade enrichment from front-office instructions.
5. Manage trade lifecycle events, ensuring accurate bookings and client communication.
6. Assist in resolving trade and cash breaks, following escalation procedures.
7. Conduct data reconciliations as per team procedures.
8. Help set up new broker, counterparty, and client accounts in relevant systems.
9. Contribute expertise to new projects and initiatives.
10. Identify and suggest process improvements for team discussion.
11. Complete daily tasks accurately and document them in the end-of-day process.

Nice-to-have:
* Experience with OTC Derivatives or Structured Products
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements like Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MiFID II, PTMM
* Technical proficiency with financial systems such as Bloomberg Terminal, Murex, Sophis, DTCC TradeServ, ICE, LCH
* Experience in downstream processing of OTC Derivatives or Structured Products
