Kitchen Porter – New Opening (City Centre, Birmingham)

Salary: £32,000 per annum
Hours: Approx. 48 hours per week | 4 on / 4 off rota
Contract: Full-time, permanent
We are recruiting a Kitchen Porter to join the opening team of a new, high-quality restaurant launching in Birmingham city centre.
This is a key support role within a professional kitchen environment, ideal for someone reliable, hardworking, and keen to be part of a well-run operation. The restaurant will operate breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a strong focus on fresh produce and organised service.

The Role
As Kitchen Porter, you will play an essential part in keeping the kitchen running smoothly and hygienically, supporting the chefs throughout prep and service.
Key responsibilities include:
* Washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
* Keeping kitchen and back-of-house areas clean, organised, and safe
* Assisting with clearing down during and after service
* Supporting basic food prep when required
* Handling deliveries, stock rotation, and waste disposal
* Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards at all times

About You
* Reliable, punctual, and physically able to manage a busy kitchen environment
* Positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
* Comfortable following instructions and working to high cleanliness standards
* No formal kitchen experience required — training will be provided
* Able to work approximately 48 hours per week on a 4 on / 4 off rota
* Right to work in the UK
