Job overview: FM Supervisor – Band 3 – £25,760 – £27,474 per annum pro rata (£13.17 – £14.05 per hour). Includes unsocial hours payments: Saturday – time + 35% of salary; Sunday – time + 69% of salary. 23 hours per week. St. Aubyn Centre, Colchester.
Work Schedule
The post is a 2‑week shift pattern:
* Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 15:00 – 19:00
* Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 15:00 – 19:00
* Saturday 08:00 – 13:00 & 15:00 – 19:00
* Sunday 08:00 – 13:00 & 15:00 – 19:00
Responsibilities
* Co‑supervise the FM services – cleaning, catering, portering, goods receiving, linen and laundry management.
* Act as the customer’s point of contact for all FM‑related issues, using a trust vehicle.
* Ensure all areas are maintained to a clean and hygienic level for patients, staff and visitors in line with National Standards.
* Ensure compliance with legislation relating to Food Safety and Health and Safety.
* Deal efficiently with complaints/issues, report remedial action to the FM Supervisor and Facilities Officer.
* Support the management of all FM Assistants.
* Deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective services and maintain excellent customer service.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Right to work in the UK.
* Hold a valid UK full driving licence.
* Experience in facilities management or related role preferred.
* Professional references covering the last three years of employment history.
* Ability to work unsocial hours and be flexible.
* Initial DBS check cost to be incurred by employee and will be deducted from first salary.
* COVID‑19 vaccination status as required by regulation. Any post requiring deployment to a CQC registered care home must have both COVID vaccinations.
