About your team:
At Hive, our mission is to make it greener. In partnership with British Gas, we help customers be smarter with heating and give them control over their homes. Through thermostats, EV chargers, solar panels, and energy-saving bulbs, we help homes reach eco-energy potential.
We are recruiting a dynamic Business Development Manager - Retail to lead our HIVE ECO TECH category's retail partner strategy. You will drive profitable growth and align with our overall HIVE strategy. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, making quick decisions and executing strategies to meet objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage retail partners to meet sales targets, objectives, budgets, and KPIs.
* Use analysis and knowledge of retail markets, customer profiles, and suppliers to develop the category framework.
* Lead weekly trade reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Manage category range stock, planning, purchase orders, promotional stock, markdowns, clearance, and stock levels.
* Develop and implement joint business plans with retail partners, including regular performance reviews.
* Oversee inbound and outbound stock flow, supply impact, and communicate issues with supply chain colleagues.
* Ensure excellent customer experience through expert delivery.
* Manage third-party partners and relationships in Ireland and UK.
* Engage with key stakeholders and senior management for plans, forecasts, and business cases.
Requirements:
* Experience in business development, preferably in multi-channel retail.
* Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
* Customer service obsession and ability to foster business growth.
* Results-oriented, capable of working individually and in teams.
* Experience working with merchants and in fast-moving retail environments.
* Influence and relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
* Organized with strong planning skills.
* Problem-solving abilities.
