My client is expanding their Construction Health and Safety team into a Compliance team which will include a Building Regulations Principal Designer. The role has been created following recent changes in the construction industry related to the Building Safety Act.
They work across the UK with a wide range of clients in sectors such as residential, commercial, retail, office, manufacturing, healthcare, leisure, hotel, sport, science, industry, energy, and education.

As a Building Regulations Principal Designer, you will be a key team member within a multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy, collaborating on various projects across the UK, primarily in the Midlands. Willingness to travel is required.
You will work on projects like high-rise residential, healthcare, educational, industrial, infrastructure, and other specialized projects requiring a Building Regulations Principal Designer.

Key responsibilities:
* Provide advice on the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations
* Review designs and undertake plan checks for compliance
* Attend meetings to advise on building regulations
* Offer technical advice to stakeholders
* Ensure project designs comply with legislation
* Maintain high standards of work output
* Identify new business opportunities and escalate them
* Develop and maintain a network of contacts
* Contribute to bid submissions and proposals
* Identify and maintain client relationships
* Work closely with Partners as clients or collaborators
Required skills and experience:
* Degree in a construction-related field or significant relevant experience
* Experience managing multiple projects
* Understanding of design and construction processes, inspections
* Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations and legislation
* Strong client-facing skills
* Membership in RICS, CABE, or CIOB
* CPD record
