Group Health & Safety Manager Gloucester Monday – Friday Main responsibilities as Group Health & Safety Manager: Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures ensuring consistency across the group. Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across all areas of the business. Encourage a positive health & safety culture, where employees recognise their own health & safety responsibility and are engaged to question and continuously improve. Review and investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and safety observations with a preventative approach to managing. Ensure the business is up to date with health and safety legislation and communicate relevant changes to management and employees. Coordinate (and provide) health and safety training for employees, contractors, and new starters. Lead the internal Health & Safety Committees and meetings, acting as the main point of contact for external bodies (e.g., HSE,). Report to the leadership team on regularly basis and provide submission for necessary reporting. Essential knowledge and skills as Group Health & Safety Manager: NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent. Knowledge of relevant UK health & safety legislation (HSAWA 1974) Proven experience in a health and safety role, ideally in manufacturing or field service Experience carrying out risk assessments and safety audits. Experience developing and implementing health & safety policies.
