Overview
UKTV is looking for a hands-on MLOps Engineer to join our growing Data Science team and lead the development of scalable, production-ready AI infrastructure. This is a greenfield opportunity to define and embed best-in-class MLOps practices, working closely with BBC Studios to align on platform strategy and share learnings across the organisation. The role is part of the wider Strategy, Data & Insight team and will operationalise machine learning models that power personalised recommendations, targeted advertising, and audience insights across the U app and our linear channel brands.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Design, build, and maintain ML pipelines for training, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
* Operationalize predictive models and ensure seamless integration into business processes.
* Implement CI/CD workflows, model tracking, and performance monitoring solutions.
* Optimize infrastructure using AWS services (SageMaker, Lambda, containerization).
* Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to improve data quality and accessibility.
* Lead pan-BBC MLOps initiatives and mentor colleagues on deployment best practices.
What You’ll Bring
* Proven experience deploying ML models into production environments.
* Strong Python skills and familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
* Expertise in CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, and AWS cloud services.
* Ability to simplify complex technical challenges and communicate clearly across teams.
* Experience in media, broadcast, AdTech/MarTech, or direct-to-consumer environments is a plus.
