Job Description
Quality Assurance / QATechnician / Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Technician to join a leading manufacturer based in Norwich.
This Quality Engineer will be responsible for the inspection of machined components, compiling FAIR reports and ensuring a good standard of work is being carried out on the floor. You’ll play a key part in ensuring components meet specification through inspection and reporting, contributing directly to product excellence and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience within a similar Quality Assurance role, demonstrable tenure and live within a commutable distance to Norwich.
Package
* Salary up to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
* 39 hours per week : Monday–Thursday 7 : 30–16 : 00, Friday 7 : 30–15 : 00
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
* Additional Christmas shutdown (varies annually)
Role
* Perform 1st-off and last-off inspections on machined components
* Conduct roving inspections on in-process parts to maintain consistent quality levels
* Ensuring ISO 9001 standards are met
* Produce and maintain FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports) and related documentation
* Work closely under the QA Manager, supporting day-to-day quality activities and improvements
* Ensure compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements
Requirements
* Previous experience in quality inspection or assurance within a manufacturing environment
* Experience with ISO 9001 standards
* Relevant qualiy qualification would be beneficial
* Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings and tolerances
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurement and reporting
* Commutable distance to Norwich
