Job Summary
The successful applicant will provide efficient clerical support to the Imaging Department, ensuring patient information accuracy and responding to enquiries. The role is a full‑time position (37.5 hours per week) that includes evening and weekend work on a rota basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer the imaging information system and maintain patient records.
* Plan, organise and prioritise own workload while receiving direction from the Administration Manager.
* Provide routine information and support to clinicians, patients and other departments.
* Process imaging referrals and manage patient files accurately and confidentially.
* Handle telephone enquiries and direct visitors following professional telephone etiquette.
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all organisational policies.
Person Specification
Essential
* Good standard level of education (GCSE or equivalent) in at least four subjects, including English.
* Minimum two years of NHS administrative/clerical experience.
* Excellent prioritisation, time‑management, communication and organisational skills.
* Good IT knowledge.
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing demands.
Desirable
* NVQ level 2 in Administration or Customer Service, or equivalent experience.
* Experience working in a busy radiology department.
* Knowledge of CRIS.
* Experience in a district general hospital or NHS environment.

Contract and Pay
