MEP Engineer – Smart Building & Water Management Solutions

We are partnering with a fast-growing technology company operating at the intersection of IoT, smart buildings and water management, supporting clients across the real estate and industrial sectors. The business develops intelligent hardware and software solutions that monitor water usage, apply machine learning to detect anomalies, and help organisations significantly reduce water waste and prevent costly damage.
Due to continued growth in the UK market, they are looking to appoint an MEP Engineer to join their solutions team, based in London with hybrid working. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys client-facing technical work and wants exposure to innovative smart-building technology within a scaling international business.
Key Requirements:
Essential:
* BEng in Building Services Engineering, MEP Engineering, or Civil / Environmental Engineering with a focus on water systems
* Minimum 4 years’ experience in MEP engineering, building services, or water systems
* Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, MEP plans and plumbing schematics
* Solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations and relevant BS standards
* Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn quickly
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
* Comfortable working both remotely and from a London office
Desirable:
* CIBSE membership or working towards chartership
* Background in plumbing systems and water management
* Experience working on UK construction projects
* Familiarity with BIM tools such as AutoCAD, Revit and Bluebeam
* Exposure to IoT systems or smart building technologies
Responsibilities:
* Solution Design & Technical Planning: Design and scope system deployments for construction and real-estate projects, producing technical plans and specifications
* Client Engagement: Present proposed technical solutions to clients, including consultations and technical walkthroughs
* Site Surveys: Conduct on-site engineering surveys to assess installation and integration requirements
* Project Coordination: Work closely with internal teams across sales, product, customer success, operations and project management throughout the project lifecycle
* Global Collaboration: Collaborate with international teams across multiple time zones
* Market Support: Assist with technical input for business development across the UK and wider European markets
