Your main responsibilities within this role will be: • To work as part of a team, in a busy environment, undertaking general cleaning duties, including daily cleaning tasks in classrooms, hallways, toilets, offices and common areas. • Duties will include sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming floors as well as cleaning and sanitising toilets, sinks and other high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of germs. • Waste management including emptying waste bins, collecting waste and ensuring proper disposal of potentially contaminated materials. • Reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel to ensure timely repairs and compliance with health and safety regulations. • Maintaining cleaning tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and reporting any malfunctions. • Following correct working practices in use of equipment and materials and adopting safe working practices to safeguard the safety of others as well as oneself, including COSHH regulations. • All staff will ensure the safeguarding of young people by the implementation of Child Protection and other safeguarding policies.
