Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of our pub. You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure excellent customer service, smooth operations, and a positive team environment. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about hospitality and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
Assist in managing daily pub operations, ensuring high standards are maintained
Oversee opening and closing procedures
Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, and company policies
Monitor stock levels, ordering supplies, and managing deliveries
Customer Service
Deliver outstanding customer experiences and resolve any issues promptly
Maintain a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all guests
Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally
Team Management
Support recruitment, training, and development of staff
Supervise shifts and ensure team members perform effectively
Lead by example to motivate and engage the team
Financial Management
Assist with budgeting, cost control, and achieving sales targets
Handle cash management, tills, and daily reconciliations
Support promotional activities to drive revenue
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good understanding of licensing laws and health & safety regulations
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
