Job Description
* Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and banking.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial statements.
* Ensure compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules and other regulatory frameworks.
* Oversee client account transactions and ensure appropriate handling of client monies.
* Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
* Provide financial analysis and reports to support strategic decision-making.
* Support the implementation and optimisation of finance systems (e.g., case management and accounting software).
* Supervise and develop the finance team, ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
* Work closely with department heads to monitor budgets and profitability by practice area.
