ROLE OVERVIEW The Network Optimisation Analyst will play a key role in supporting the performance and growth of GRIDSERVE’s EV charging and energy infrastructure network. You will leverage data insights to identify opportunities to improve site performance, optimise network efficiency, and support decision-making across strategy, operations, and commercial teams. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for sustainable infrastructure.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyse performance data across GRIDSERVE’s EV charging and energy network to identify usage trends, optimisation opportunities, and operational inefficiencies
Support the delivery of key network initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations
Monitor key metrics such as charger uptime, PINs, energy throughput, utilisation rates, and user demand
Produce regular reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders including senior management
Support scenario modelling and forecasting to inform network expansion, pricing strategies, and infrastructure upgrades
Collaborate with teams across Commercial, Strategy, Operations, and Engineering to align data insights with business goals
Provide input into site and network performance reviews, ensuring continuous improvement and accountability
Identify opportunities for process automation and improvements in data quality and accessibility
Ensure analysis aligns with regulatory standards and internal reporting frameworks
Assist in benchmarking GRIDSERVE’s network performance against industry standards and competitor data where available
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including; anti-bribery policy and environmental and quality management standards in compliance with ISO standards.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Required Experience
Experience in an engineering, data analysis or business intelligence role, preferably within infrastructure, transport, energy, or related sectors
Experience working with large datasets and drawing actionable insights from complex data
Familiarity with commercial, operational, or performance-related KPIs in infrastructure or technology-led environments
Experience debugging problems in physical infrastructure from associated data sets (e.g. SCADA)
Experience using reporting or visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools (desirable)
Required Skills and Abilities
Very Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to translate data into business impact
Familiarity with or ability to quickly understand EV standards ISO 15118 & OCPP
Knowledge of battery management systems and or automotive electrical systems desirable
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical self-directed approach to problem-solving
Effective communicator with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
Commercial awareness and ability to prioritise insights based on strategic importance
Strong analytical ( Python, Power BI, SQL, R) and data modelling skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Highly organised with strong time management skills
Interest in electric vehicles and associated technologies
Required Qualifications and Certifications
Degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Business Analytics or related discipline from a tier 1 university
PhD or Second research degree desirable
Additional certifications in data analysis or business intelligence tools are desirable
