Technical Services Manager Opportunity – Commercial Fit Out - London
A growing and highly respected fit out contractor is seeking a Mechanically Biased Technical Services Manager to join the business at an exciting stage of expansion.
Having recently secured a strong pipeline of commercial fit out projects across London, the company has just been awarded a flagship £9m CAT A / CAT B fit out scheme in Liverpool Street, with the project being heavily MEP focused and approximately 75% mechanical in value.
This appointment represents a unique opportunity to become the company’s first dedicated Technical Services Manager, giving the successful candidate the chance to not only lead a major project from cradle to grave, but also help shape and develop the wider technical services function across the business moving forward.
You will initially work closely alongside a highly experienced and long-standing Senior Project Manager on site, before progressing onto further projects and taking on a broader role within the organisation as the business continues to grow.
The Role
As Technical Services Manager, you will take full ownership of the MEP delivery on a high-profile commercial fit out project in Central London, ensuring technical excellence, programme compliance and successful coordination throughout all stages of delivery.
This role will suit an ambitious and commercially aware individual looking for long-term progression within a forward-thinking contractor where they can genuinely make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee all MEP technical services delivery on site
* Lead coordination between consultants, subcontractors and project teams
* Review and manage technical drawings, specifications and design information
* Drive programme delivery and monitor technical progress throughout the project lifecycle
* Chair and attend technical and subcontractor meetings
* Ensure quality assurance and compliance with project standards
* Manage commissioning activities and handover processes
* Support procurement and subcontractor management where required
* Act as the key technical point of contact across the project
Requirements
* Strong mechanical bias with previous experience delivering fit out or commercial projects
* Proven experience in a Technical Services Manager, Building Services Manager or similar role
* Background within fit out, commercial interiors or MEP contracting
* Strong understanding of MEP coordination and project delivery
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage projects from pre-construction through to completion
* Ambitious mindset with a desire to grow alongside the business
