NHS Fife Sexual Health Service would like to invite applications for a 1.5 session (6 hour) permanent post as a Specialist (SAS) Doctor in Vasectomy Care in Fife Health and Social Care Partnership. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic colleague to join our outpatient vasectomy service which is based in a community Sexual Health clinic in Fife. You will provide comprehensive Specialist (SAS) medical leadership and oversight of the delivery of vasectomy care to patients referred for outpatient local anaesthetic vasectomy in Fife. You will support the continued delivery of high-quality human-centred care through participation in clinical governance and continuous service improvement. You should have a minimum of 10 years' medical work (either continuous period or in aggregate) since obtaining a primary medical qualification of which a minimum of six years should have been in a relevant specialty as at least a Specialty Doctor and/or closed SAS grades. Equivalent years’ experience in a relevant specialty from other medical grades including from overseas will also be accepted. You should have completed a recognised training programme in vasectomy and be able to work independently and be eligible to take on the training of medical staff in vasectomy procedures.
