We have an exciting opportunity within our Data Centre of Excellence for a Business Intelligence Analyst – level 1 role. If you have a passion for analysing data, this is the role for you. The role will require the role holder to work to agreed requirements, key KPIs and user needs. They will be expected to work within data frameworks, alongside maintaining best practices in data analysis, ensuring a consistent standard of accuracy, delivery, and communication to all stakeholders. SLC offer a blended working model which will typically be 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. What you bring: Ability to transform raw data into meaningful visual insights, ensuring clarity and accessibility for stakeholders. Analytical skills to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and generate actionable insights. Ability to extract key insights from data to support business objectives, improve performance, and optimize processes. Some knowledge of ETL processes, integrating data from multiple sources, and ensuring data quality and integrity. Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements, and vice versa. Capability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring analytics align with organizational goals. Demonstratable experience in developing dashboards, reports and data outputs that clearly and simply allow users to understand insights and recommendations from the data used, tracking the value of insights and recommendations. Demonstrable experience of an extensive understanding of insight provision through analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. Demonstratable experience of data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, MicroStrategy, Tableau) to leverage insights from data. Demonstratable experience of SQL for data extraction and data source creation with an understanding of ETL techniques and tools (Talend, Oracle Data Integrator, Azure), or other comparable experience in sourcing and manipulating data for analysis You can expect more from a career with SLC.
