Role: Transport Planner

I am recruiting on behalf of a respected development planning consultancy in Bristol that is looking to appoint a Transport Planner as part of its continued growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early-career experience in transport planning (typically 1-4 years) who is keen to further develop their technical capability and gain exposure to a wide variety of development projects across the South and the wider UK.
You will join a collaborative transport planning team working on a broad mix of development-led schemes across residential, commercial, education, leisure and mixed-use sectors. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of technical assessments, analysis and reports to support planning applications.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
* Junction capacity modelling (e.g. Junctions 9, PICADY, ARCADY)
* Use of TRICS and other industry datasets
* Data analysis, technical report writing and feasibility inputs
* Liaison with clients, local authorities and project stakeholders
About You:
To be considered for this role, you should:
* Have early-career experience in transport planning (placement, graduate role or 1-4 years’ experience)
* Be familiar with development planning tasks and relevant software tools
* Have strong written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrate an interest in sustainable transport and high-quality placemaking
* Hold a degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
