The role
We are recruiting for a professional and customer-focused Security Officer to provide a high-quality, uniformed specialist service within our leading private hospital in London. The role is essential to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring full compliance with legislation and hospital policies, particularly in emergency situations where liaison with emergency services may be required.
The post holder will be responsible for protecting people and property through visible patrols, access control, CCTV and key management, and proactive crime prevention. Acting as a reassuring presence, the role also includes welcoming and assisting patients and visitors on arrival, combining excellent customer service with the highest standards of security and professionalism.

Key Duties
* Ensure the safety and security of all persons and properties at The London Clinic, and to promote a safe environment and reduce the fear of crime by providing a high-profile visible presence.
* To ensure all security policies and procedures of The London Clinic are followed and adhered to.
* Carry out patrols and provide escorts as requested.
* Undertake cash run's in line with the Security Operating Procedures (SOP's).
* Provide a prompt response to any security incidents.
* To work as part of the Fire Response & Major incident teams, liaising with other departments and the Emergency Services as appropriate and in line with SOP's and the Major Incident Plan.
* To monitor all alarms and CCTV systems, ensuring all equipment is operational and that faults are reported immediately.
* To actively seek information/intelligence associated with criminal offences committed and to identify suspects and trends.To
* investigate security incidents/breaches in a fair, objective and professional manner so that the appropriate sanctions are taken and consideration of preventive action takes place.An
* swer and deal with all telephone queries in a timely, polite and curtsies manner.
* Deal with staff/patients' safety issues and requests and handle high value items including cash as requested in line with the SOP's.
* Maintain a daily log detailing all activities and incidents which is emailed to the SFM as appropriate.
* Maintain a log of all passes that have been issued to new staff, visitors and contractors daily.
* To liaise with the police, fire brigade and other emergency services, assist in the search of buildings, and other matters involving the preservation of life and prevention of danger.
* Whilst on duty you must be dressed smartly and in line with the department's dress code and The London Clinic's dress policy.
* To assist with the movement and protection of VIP's ensuring that their privacy is respected.
Skills and Experience
* Experience working in a customer service or a high-end security role (training will be given to those who have not worked in security)
* Understanding of the importance of service delivery
* Strong relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders, up to and including at senior level
* Strong problem-solving acumen
* Excellent communication; verbal and written
* Able to demonstrate a professional approach at all times and under pressure
* Computer literate
* Be able to patrol multiple sites on foot
* Self-directed and resourceful
* Flexible approach to work.
* Well presented
* Must be able to obtain an Enhanced Discourse and Barring Service (DBS) clearance and 5-year background check
