About the company
Our client is a national food manufacturer with various specialist sites across the UK who is looking to add a Maintenance Engineer. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all plant equipment to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the sites production and intake systems - minimising downtime and supporting business objectives.
The Details
* Salary - £42,000
* 4 on, 4 off (Days)
* Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Maintenance Engineer - Requirements
* A recognised qualification or apprenticeship in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
* Previous experience in an engineering role, preferably within the food or drink sector.
* A strong understanding of safety procedures, quality control, and KPI management.
* The ability to deliver both short-term fixes and long-term engineering solutions.
Maintenance Engineer - Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems.
* Respond quickly to breakdowns or interruptions, escalating where necessary.
* Drive continuous improvement by reviewing current processes and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records to ensure legal compliance and a safe working environment.
* Liaise effectively with suppliers and maintain appropriate engineering stock and resources.
