FM Services Officer
Location: Derwentside Immigration Removal Centre, female only accommodation, Consett, England, United Kingdom.
Employment type: Permanent Full Time.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8am-4.30pm with an on‑call rota every 1 in 5 weeks.
Salary: £28,000 per annum + Excellent Corporate Benefits Package + on‑call pay.
We are recruiting for an FM Services Officer to join our FM team at Derwentside IRC. You will be responsible for all aspects of detainee safety, security and welfare provision, facilities management and catering. A large part of the role involves supporting the Engineers with system reactive and preventative maintenance, additional works to all aspects of security systems, fire detection, life safety equipment and any other equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Advise the Line Manager of progress on the contract.
* Participate in and comply with material ordering and procurement procedures.
* Assist in multi‑trade support of other FM service team members in completing work.
* Support Engineers with system reactive and preventive maintenance.
* Carry out painting and decorating around the site.
Qualifications & Skills
* Team player keen to support all‑round operations.
* Working knowledge of Plumbing and/or Electrics is advantageous.
* Ability to work independently and deliver on accountabilities.
