About the Role
* Lead the development and implementation of evidence-based public health strategies.
* Lead and manage a team of direct and matrix reports to deliver the portfolio priorities.
* Provide expert advice across a portfolio of programmes.
* Commission and evaluate health improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with NHS, VCSE, and community partners.
* Contribute to health protection, healthcare public health, and research.
* You’ll report to the Service Lead - Consultant in Public Health. This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
* Registration (or willingness to work towards registration) with the UK Public Health Register.
* A Master's level qualification in Public Health or a related field.
* At least three years' experience in public health practice.
* Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
* Experience managing budgets, contracts, and staff.
