Whether you're looking for a flexible day-to-day supply or a more consistent long-term role, we’re here to support you in finding the right fit.
As an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you’ll have the opportunity to work across primary or secondary schools depending on your preference, supporting learners while gaining hands-on classroom experience. You’ll be guided by experienced mentors and have access to ongoing professional development to grow your confidence and teaching skills.
Early Career Teacher Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs
* Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support student progress
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, offering constructive feedback
* Contribute to the wider school community through active participation in school events and activities
Requirements for an ECT:
* A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
* Recent completion of teacher training and eligibility to work as an ECT in the UK
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils
* A positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one)
