Morris and Young Mechanical ae an Air Conditioning company based in Hertford, Hertfordshire. We have multiple service and Maintenance contracts with household named sites as well as the NHS. Entering our 10th year, we are looking to expand our engineering team with strong capable engineers across all three disciplines, Service, maintenance, and installations.
Our primary ethos is to provide the best service to our clients and invest in training to allow the engineers to have the understanding and capability to be confident in all aspects of Splits, VRV/VRF's, chillers and AHU's. We have been awarded some household name prestige organisations and heritage sites and our engineers need to be reflective with the level of service we provide.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Air Conditioning Engineer with the office located in Hertford however our region covers London and surrounding counties, predominantly north of the River Thames. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
Dependant
on your skill set, your responsibilities include diagnosing faults, conducting system inspections, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. You will collaborate with the technical team and clients to provide expert support and ensure customer satisfaction.
With a real variant of customers, one day you could be in a multi tenanted building, the next a hospital, a lawyers, dentists, School, University, golf club, or Bank.
On the installation side we can install anything from Splits, VRV/VRF's, Chillers and the occasional cellar cooler. Generally, we only install Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric unless otherwise specified. Due to our client base 90% of our installations are self-specified with most of the installations in occupied buildings, with very few building sites.
At this point in time, or the foreseeable future you will not be required to go on a call our rota.
Requirements
Proficiency in HVAC installation and/or maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulatory compliance
Ability to work independently and resolve technical challenges efficiently
Strong communication and customer service skills
Previous experience in air conditioning installation and/or service is a must.
F Gas category 1
Full Clean UK Driving license
Must be computer literate and able to use a tablet for paperless reporting including REFCOM
Great attitude, willingness to learn and develop
Due to the safeguarding requirements of our customers, many of whom are Banks, schools or hospitals, we complete confidential criminal record checks on all roles that attend customer sites. If you are successful, you will be required to complete and Advanced DBS check with a barred lists check. We strictly follow the DBS code of practice and comply with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
Structure
* Competitive basic salary dependent on experience (up to 50K basic)
* Paid overtime @ 1.5 & 2 and door to door travel
