Role Overview As a Steeplejack, you’ll be responsible for repairing and maintaining tall structures such as industrial chimneys, towers, high-rise blocks, monuments, and bridges. Your work will involve climbing to great heights to ensure these structures are structurally sound and safe. Additionally, you may install lightning conductors to protect against electrical damage. Your Key Responsibilities: Performing high-level structural work, repairs, and maintenance on buildings and monuments. Ensuring the safety and structural integrity of high-rise constructions. Working with a variety of materials, including brick, stone, steel, and masonry. Carrying out inspections and surveys on tall structures to assess repair needs. Climbing and Rigging: Safely ascend and work at heights using ropes, harnesses, and other equipment. Communicating effectively with team members and project managers. Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations and processes. Structural Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and maintain tall structures to prevent deterioration and ensure safety. Lightning Conductor Installation: Set up lightning protection systems on buildings and structures. Knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and safety protocols. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Excellent fitness levels and the ability to work at significant heights. Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
