Learning Support Assistant – Nursery Based TA Charnwood Primary Academy Fixed Term Contract Nursery Based Start Date: W/C 13 th April 26 (pending Enhanced DBS disclosure) Hours: 20 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 08:45 > 12:45) Grade 3 SCP 4 FTE Salary: £25,185.00 Fixed Term to 31/08/26 Nursery Teaching Assistant (Morning Sessions) We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring person to join our Nursery team, working alongside the Nursery Lead during morning sessions (8:45am to 12:45). This role will focus on providing high-quality care and learning opportunities for our youngest children as the provision continues to grow. We are looking for someone who can: Provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for Nursery children during afternoon sessions. Support children’s play, learning, and social development in line with their individual needs. Contribute to planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in partnership with the Nursery Lead. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to strengthen home–school links. Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and independence in line with school policies. Training & Qualifications: A relevant Level 3 childcare/early years qualification is desirable. Paediatric First Aid training is highly desirable/necessary. (If not already held, the successful candidate will be supported to complete this training.) Additional training in safeguarding, behaviour management, or SEND support would be an advantage.
