As highlighted in our recent Ofsted report, Hall Orchard remains a Good school in all areas and was judged Outstanding for Personal Development, where pupils' character, confidence, and resilience are exceptionally well nurtured:
“This school feels like one happy family. Pupils, staff, parents and carers all talk about their sense of belonging.”
“The provision for pupils’ personal development is exceptional. It promotes their character, confidence and resilience.”
“There is an excited buzz in the early years. Children are eager to learn. Routines are well established.”
“Pupils behave well. There is a sense of calm around the school.”
We are looking for someone who can make a real difference to the lives of children who need additional support to access learning and flourish in school. This role will involve working closely with the SENDCo, class teachers, and other professionals to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
The successful candidate will:
Have direct experience of supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting
Understand how to adapt teaching and resources to meet individual learning needs
Be skilled in using strategies that promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and independence
Be patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine commitment to inclusion
Work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently when needed
Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
We can offer:
A welcoming and supportive school community where SEND is valued and prioritised
Opportunities for training and professional development, including SEND-specific training
The chance to work closely with experienced staff and specialist professionals
A school where children’s wellbeing and achievement are at the heart of everything we do
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about SEND and who wants to play a vital role in helping children overcome barriers and reach their full potential.
