Experienced Manufacturing Plant Manager to take full responsibility for a high-volume manufacturing site in Clydebank, Glasgow. This is a career-defining opportunity for a proven leader to drive operational excellence and lead a workforce of 180+ staff.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Lead, you will oversee day-to-day plant operations while providing strong leadership to managers and frontline staff. The position is hands-on, combining operational delivery with people management in equal measure.
Your purpose is to embed a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement while delivering measurable performance gains through lean practices.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead plant operations, ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) standards are consistently achieved.
· Drive lean initiatives, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements across all processes.

· Monitor budgets, costs, and resources with full operational KPI ownership.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, logistics, HR, finance) to streamline operations.
· Manage relationships with unions/works councils and ensure effective communication.
· Represent the site in regional initiatives, sharing best practice and contributing to wider improvement programs.
What We’re Looking For

· Strong track record in lean manufacturing, KPI management, and continuous improvement.
· A hands-on leader who balances operational control with people leadership.
· Experience managing large teams, ideally in a unionised environment.
· Manufacturing sector background is essential — packaging or print experience is an advantage but not required.
· Degree qualification and lean/safety certifications are a plus but not essential.
