About the Role: As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured Drama lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, covering topics such as acting techniques, script analysis, and theatre history. This role requires the ability to develop and adapt resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students, ensuring all students are engaged and challenged. You will assess and monitor student progress through performances, presentations, and written assignments, providing timely and constructive feedback. Additionally, you will contribute to departmental meetings, participate in school productions, and potentially lead extracurricular drama activities, fostering a passion for theatre among students. Ideal Candidate: You should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Drama, demonstrating a strong understanding of theatre theory and practice. Proven experience in teaching drama at the secondary level is essential, with a track record of delivering engaging and effective lessons. Excellent communication and organizational skills are crucial, as is the ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their creative talents. You should be proficient in directing plays, teaching acting techniques, and have a broad knowledge of theatre history and genres. A commitment to continuous professional development is also essential to stay abreast of developments in drama education.
