Responsibilities & Qualifications
* Ensure a safe working environment and operate in accordance with company Health & Safety policies, including Road to Zero.
* Ensure all GXO / DVSA compliance measures are prioritised and maintained, such as Tachomaster, Trailer Master, Tachograph analysis, infringement reporting and investigations.
* Ensure adequate accident investigations are carried out in a timely manner, recorded with appropriate support from the QHSE team, and take corrective action as appropriate with support from the HR team.
* Day‑to‑day team management of all GXO and agency staff within the distribution operation across different shifts and sites as operationally required.
* Proven experience in a leadership role within the transportation or logistics industry.
* Good knowledge of Health & Safety principles.
* Knowledge and understanding of vehicle compliance requirements and the importance of correct management, including the safe vehicle loading/unloading process.
* Strong knowledge of transportation operations, safety regulations, and legal compliance.
* Problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage challenge.
