Weâre looking for a motivated and practical individual to join our team as a Sheet Metal Worker / Welder Apprentice.\nYouâll be trained in all aspects of sheet-metal fabrication â from reading engineering drawings and operating CNC machinery to TIG/MIG welding and finishing high-quality metal components.\nWorking under the guidance of our experienced fabricators, youâll gain hands-on experience in:\nâ¢\tLaser-cutting and folding sheet metal\nâ¢\tSetting up and operating press brakes, rolls, and other fabrication machinery\nâ¢\tTIG and MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium \nâ¢\tFabrication, drilling and tapping of structural and precision components\nâ¢\tUse of hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery safely and accurately\nâ¢\tGrinding, polishing and finishing of fabricated parts\nâ¢\tAssembly and inspection of fabricated parts\nâ¢\tWorking to engineering drawings and quality standards\nâ¢\tFollowing health & safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area What We Offer\nâ¢\tFull apprenticeship (4 years) training and qualifications \n (SCQF level 5 and SCQF Level 7 qualifications, meta skills and a minimum of NC in engineering discipline.) \nâ¢\tHands-on experience in a modern precision fabrication environment\nâ¢\tOpportunity to progress into a qualified Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder / fitter role\nâ¢\tSupportive team and safe, well-equipped workshop\nâ¢\tLong-term career development opportunities within a growing engineering business What Weâre Looking For\nâ¢\tA genuine interest in engineering, fabrication, and hands-on work\nâ¢\tGood practical and problem-solving skills\nâ¢\tAttention to detail and pride in producing quality work\nâ¢\tReliable, eager to learn, and able to work in a team\nâ¢\tGCSE/Nat 5 C or above or equivalent in Maths, English, and a technical subject preferred.
