Job Description
* The role holder will deliver a departmental strategy within the Engineering team which supports the achievement of the AGS vision and ensure team performance is reviewed and continuously improved.
* Deliver local asset management services and value engineering for all elements of the airport infrastructure, ensuring the airport continues to work safely, efficiently and sustainably for its passengers and staff.
* Play an active role delivering asset management responsibilities in line with ISO 55001 in terms of stakeholder engagement, asset data collection, risk assessment and asset maintenance, in support of delivering asset management objectives and developing medium-term investment plans.
Principle accountabilities
* Actively manage and own all elements of the Engineering budget, recommending actions to achieve asset management objectives and providing timely management information on performance indicators.
* Ensure financial resources are used cost-effectively and that rolling plans respond to maintenance and investment needs.
* Safely manage the Engineering team within a clearly defined commercial context, delivering a competitive service.
* Maintain day-to-day relationships with AGS Asset and Infrastructure teams and chair monthly maintenance meetings with stakeholders.
* Direct the implementation and management of local Asset Management and maintenance processes across the airport, ensuring inspection, maintenance and replacement/refurbishment plans for all assets.
* Oversee the quality of the computerised maintenance data management tool and ensure asset information is accurate and up to date through leadership of interfacing departments.
* Manage a live document library for assets and identify, analyse and manage risks using risk registers and assessments.
* Deliver maintenance services that meet the airports group KPIs and ensure planned and corrective maintenance is completed within SLA targets while managing cost, quality and time.
* Improve asset performance and delivery to customers using KPIs and benchmarking; manage maintenance contracts and suppliers against KPIs.
* Ensure engineering logistics, stock levels, and procurement support the business needs; identify and deliver new sourcing opportunities to improve safety, cost or performance.
* Ensure staff work safely and in line with Health, Safety and Environmental policies; develop safe systems of work and manage contractors and third-party suppliers.
* Develop staff competencies to meet business needs and succession planning; participate in projects and cross-functional activities as required.
* Lead change initiatives to improve team and airport performance.
Qualifications And Experience
* Engineering qualification at degree level, or equivalent management and technical experience in a relevant discipline.
* Extensive experience of facilities and asset management practices.
* Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
* Proven experience of managing large operational budgets and capital asset refurbishment projects.
* Proven experience of managing change; commercially minded with contract management experience.
* Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
