Job Description
The key responsibilities of a Finance Assistant will include, but may not be limited to;
3. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial reports.
4. Managing records and receipts.
5. Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions.
6. Supporting the finance department, accountants, and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks.
7. Ad-hoc duties.
8. Preparing budgets, reports, and financial statements.
9. Processing invoices and delivering them to relevant parties.
10. Preparing and submitting expense reports.
11. Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Assistant should have:
12. Not for Profit and Charities background - Education desirable.
13. Ability to commute to Wigan.
14. A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in finance, accounting or business administration.
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel.
16. Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
17. An understanding of financial regulations and legislation.
18. Knowledge of financial software and databases.
19. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
20. Good written and verbal communication skills.
21. Full Enhanced DBS required.
