We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join and help our Haematology & Oncology Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) Unit, based in the state-of-the-art Cancer Centre at MKUH.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a pivotal role within a dynamic and compassionate team at the heart of cancer care. As a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse on the Macmillan Chemotherapy Day Unit, you will provide visible, professional, and supportive leadership, acting as the Unit representative in the absence of the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.
You'll deliver expert, specialist care to patients receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT), with a focus on oncology and haematology. Your clinical excellence, leadership, and passion will help drive forward high standards of patient care, safety, and service development.

Person Specification
Qualifications and knowledge
* Registered General Nurse
* Diploma/Degree in Nursing or working at advanced level
* Chemotherapy Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) qualification
* Cancer care modules or degree-level cancer course
* Mentorship qualification or equivalent
Experience
* Post-registration experience in oncology/haematology
* Experience caring for patients undergoing chemotherapy
* Experience in educating and training staff
* Experience in ward or team management
* Ability to balance and prioritise clinical and staffing needs
* Involvement in the appraisal process
