The post holder will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and support of the Trust's IT orientated project within the IT Services Department, based at Leigh Infirmary.
The Senior Network Analyst is responsible for maintaining and improving the network infrastructure of the Trust. They will ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services.
Key responsibilities include:
* Undertaking and analyzing site surveys reports and developing specifications of requirements and plans for installation and commissioning of hardware and software.
* Analyzing, monitoring, and reviewing performance, throughput, availability, and exceptional incidents, and proposing and implementing consequent improvements.
* Reviewing network topology configuration, assessing effectiveness, and advising the Technical Support Manager on the optimum configuration.
* Selecting appropriate procedures and tools and carrying out specialist tasks associated with the planning, installation, upgrade, operation, control, and maintenance of the Trust's computer data network.
The successful candidate will have:
* Degree level or equivalent qualification or experience.
* Professional qualification, such as MCP/MCSE.
* ITIL Foundation Qualification.
* PRINCE 2 Foundation Qualification.
Desirable qualifications include:
* CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or other relevant qualification.
Essential experience includes:
* Experience in designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining core infrastructure services.
* Specific Networking principles, including LAN, WAN, and networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, SNMP, Routing, and Switching.
* Working in a pressured environment with conflicting demands on time and resource management.
* Planning and directing projects.
* Experience in team leadership.
Desirable experience includes:
* NHS Experience in IM&T.
* Experience of Security-related tools, processes, and procedures.
