JOB : Design Engineer
LOCATION : East Sussex
TERM : Permanent
SALARY : GBP 27,000 : GBP 34,000 per annum
My client work within design and manufacturing and they are looking to take on a Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the East Sussex area.
The Design Engineerwill ideally have the following attributes:
: Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Design or similar
: Ideally 1:2 years' experience or more in the industry or placement experience may also be considered working in a similar Design Engineer position
: Proficiency with CAD software : ideally SolidWorks but are open to others
: Any experience using rendering software like Keyshot would be advantageous but not essential
: Have good technical/ engineering knowledge and experience
: Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
: Have excellent communication skills
: Good knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and furniture/ timber design would be beneficial
: Time management skills
The Design Engineer role will involve:
: Working within the engineering and product development teams on projects
: Modelling parts using SolidWorks CAD software and using Keyshot
: Developing new concepts
: Taking these concepts to finished products
: Producing design proposals and engineered solutions to match the brief
: Ensure all drawings contain the relevant manufacturing data (BOM's)
